Academics

Preschool- Kindergarten

Preschoolers receive a warm welcome to the daily routine of school life, preparing them for a smooth transition into kindergarten.

Early Elementary

Through the use of phonics, site words and fluency, Salem students enrolled in early elementary classes develop reading decoding, spelling and vocabulary skills. In addition to reading and comprehension, students build a solid foundation in numeracy and basic mathematic processes. Students also explore the Bible and its truths, gaining a stronger commitment to their faith.

Middle School

Students in fifth-eighth grade are surrounded by a loving and caring group of teachers. In addition to the core learning subjects, independence, responsibility and self-advocacy are incorporated into the middle school curriculum. Middle School students are challenged to be critical thinkers, encouraged to become leaders and are provided guidance, spiritual care and support as they continue their faith walk with Jesus – beyond Salem Lutheran.
